Our HoMa home

This past summer, after spending 6+ years in Le Petit Laurier, we packed up our 100-year old, 1 bedroom, apartment with baby and dog in tow for bigger and better things... in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa, or Hoche'lag, to the locals)!

As we have been slowly getting settled in, we have had friends come over for brunch (where we would usually serve crêpes with various toppings) to show our new pad and 'hood. Last weekend, with a larger than usual crowd, we decided to bonify the menu.

In addition to the crêpes, I channelled my inner Martha and edited one of her quiche recipes; Antoine fried up some potatoes and whipped up a salad; and, while things were getting a little hectic in the final prep moments and baby was needing some reassurance, I had assistance to caramelized some nectarines from the market. There were also some brioches from Première Moisson on offer (handy, that market ;-)

Suffice it to say, everyone was satiated - including Bea - who sampled most of the menu :-)
