Saturday Porridge/Sunday Pancakes

Growing up, during the school-year period, breakfasts on weekends were usually: porridge on Saturday, pancakes on Sunday. Well, they say we grow up to be quite similar to our parents, and here we are, 20ish years later, repeating the tradition.

On Saturday, Bea and I had some apple oatmeal (recipe below)... we had to spice up the overnight oats, didn't we?!

My toast, her toast; my bowl, her bowl; my tea ;-)

Saturday night, Antoine prepared his classic crêpe recipe so it would be ready to make early Sunday morning (weekends are no exception to Bea's early wakings ;-)

Don't worry, she got some crêpes, too!

Crêpes call for coffee

I'm certainly one for family rituals and traditions, so who knows, maybe this will be on repeat in the future.
