Overnight oats

Yes, I have jumped on that bandwagon. The overnight oats bandwagon.

Me and mini-me

How did we get here? Well, Bea made it clear she was no longer interested in her baby cereal in the morning (I mean, who can blame her? It's essentially iron-enriched tasteless goop). On top of that, I recently started a practicum for my interminable masters two days a week and need her and I to be out the door relatively early. Enter: the overnight oats. Simple, quick, and as tasty as you want it to be.

All you need to do is mix equal parts oats with your choice of milk and a dash of vanilla extract. Cover and leave overnight (or at least 5 hours). Add yogurt, fruit, nuts, drizzle of honey (not for baby, though)... whatever your heart desires and voilà! Baby-approved breakfast is served. You can also prep the oats and your toppings in a mason jar for a stylish breakfast on the go (you still need a spoon though, this ain't no smoothie!).

Happy oating! xo
