An Ottawa Easter

Here are a few photos from our Easter weekend in Ottawa, for those who are interested...

We left Montreal on Friday afternoon -the drive was meant to coincide with Bea's nap, but that didn't go quite so well as she didn't sleep very long and then cried every 5 minutes... poor bunny :(

When we arrived, the weather was quite grey, cold, and rainy, so Bea amused herself by playing with 30 year old Fisher Price toys in my parent's basement. Thank goodness for basements and organized mothers like mine!

The next morning, with another grey day in the forecast, my mum attempted to brighten things up at breakfast with oranges, yogurt, honey, and pistachios followed by hot crossed buns from the Wild Oat

That evening, my sister and her family came over for Easter dinner and we had a few activities prepared for the children like pin the tail on the rabbit and egg colouring (although more eggs were smashed than coloured!).

On Easter morning, despite not planning an egg hunt for Bea, a rabbit made an appearance in my parent's garden during breakfast... inciting some sweet reactions from our little bunny.

We then went for a walk through Mooney's Bay and Hog's Back Park, before heading back to Montreal in the afternoon (Bea slept the whole way, yay!).

I hope you all enjoyed your long weekends. Happy Easter / Passover / Spring! x
