Fulton's Pancake House: The Next Generation

Growing up, it was tradition for us to go to the same sugar bush every year. We would drive through Almonte and go for a short walk before enjoying some sweet maple syrup soaked pancakes. Now that I'm a mum, I feel the need for the tradition to continue and this was the first year that I brought Bea with my family to Fulton's.

Amazingly, this place has been open for 50 years now, and my family have been going for over 30 of these years! Much has changed during this time, most importantly, the growing crowds that flock here each spring (including the need to wait in line for 30+ minutes to get your meal!).

Happily, the men offered to wait in line while my mum, sister, and I occupied the children in the playground.

Cousins, just 6 months apart in age!

Syrup production was in full swing when we were there

I was curious to see what Beatrice would make of the food (she usually has quite the sweet tooth!). Sure enough, she loved her serving of pancakes, sausages and beans :-)

Thanks for the memories Fulton's, we will surely be back! x
