The Hamiltons Visit HoMa

Midweek earlier this winter, I get a phone call from my sister: "What are you doing this weekend?" And so it was that her and her crew came to Montreal for a quick visit to shake off the winter blahs.

When they arrived on Saturday afternoon, we quickly made a dash to an urban cabane à sucre at a local park.

A little sceptical about this petting zoo...

That evening, we had decided that it was warm enough to barbecue and had European-style hot dogs with sausages and bread purchased from local vendors.

Dinner was pretty entertaining with these little monkeys...

The next morning, we had our classic crêpes, plus a few sides -including homemade bread from Matt!- for breakfast.

We then decided to make use of the Olympic Park at our doorstep and visit - The Montreal Tower!

Obligatory tourist photo ;-)

We got there fairly early and got to have the ride up and down the funicular to ourselves (perks of having young children! ;-).

Thanks to the Hamilton clan for making the trip up to HoMa and turning this blah weekend into something memorable! x
